I would like to recommend the services of Williams Contracting of Olympia, Wa.  The owner Chris Williams is a great person to work with.  We came to him with a raw concept of a garage with a second floor.  He designed the building, checking with us about many details.  He made a lot of suggestions that we were delighted with and incorporated into the design.  He suggested a detail that resulted in a new front door for the house, it is great.  Once we agreed to the design he took it to an architect to get working plans.  The county permit approval process and the hiring of the sub contractors all flowed easily.

Construction started and finished on time as was promised.  From our perspective all went well.  Chris contacted us almost every day to update us on progress, to discuss the next days work to be done and to clarify our desires.  Since this was the first time we had hired a building contractor this was very reassuring.  Once, a small detail was wrong and Chris fixed the issue without any additional cost to us.  Chris was always doing whatever he needed to do to keep us informed and happy with the work.

We liked him so much that we are not hesitant to recommend him to anyone.  We even had him do another project for us, a deck.  Again we are delighted with his work.

"Chris called me within 15 minutes of submitting the request and had his guy on site within 24 hours for a bid. They came in right in the middle of the job and completed it for us. They were in constant contact with me thru out the process and did a wonderful job. Our original sub-contrator had gotten hurt on another job so they stepped into this one mid job. The shower looks fantastic. We have granite floors and walls. Chris's workers were professional, on time and cleaned up after themselves. My husband and I are very happy with the job Chris did installing our laminate floor (all 937 sq. feet of it!). The best part was the workmanship around the hearth. This was a major concern of ours. Several bids came in, all about the same price. Only Chris put the effort and the research into figuring out how to work around our fireplace hearth. Several contractors said they would put "trim" around, one said it would have to just "end", as you could not nail or glue.... None were to our satisfaction (have you looked for bendable trim?.....not available). Chris did an excellent job, he took a photo and researched it over the weekend. The work took about 2-3 hours, undercutting the brick, the laminate slid in under the brick. Everyone whose come to view our floor has commented specifically about how well the workmanship was around the hearth. We are very pleased. We would recommend Chris, he is energetic, enthusiastic, meticulous and a fast worker.

I offered to provide a recommendation for Chris Williams because of the consistent quality of his service and work.

Service is mentioned first because Chris is possibly the most responsive contractor with whom I’ve ever worked.    He returns calls and emails promptly.   He does what he says he will do when he said he would.   He is particularly responsive if there is a problem.

Chris supervised the staging of a condo I own, which included bringing in sub-contractors and doing some of the work himself.   His work was of excellent quality, and he quickly returned to tweak a minor issue involving one of the subs.

Since that time, Chris has done a variety of work at the condo complex where I live, and for which I am an officer.   This includes concrete and fencing work, and more recently, the design and building of three second floor decks.   His proposal for the deck fencing resulted in a lighter, more open feel, and our owners are very pleased.

Based on having bid a couple of jobs, I have found Chris’ pricing to be reasonable.  I no longer get bids.

Chris had been recommended to my sister by a long-time specialty contractor in the Olympia area.     My sister was pleased with his work and recommended him to me.   In turn, I am happy to recommend him.  

Chris has made it so much easier to carry out my responsibilities, and my fellow owners also appreciate his work.
